Famous American poet Emily Dickinson will be the focus of an America250-themed reading event at Phoenix Public Library on Saturday.
The event will be 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26 at Burton Barr Central Library in the College Depot Auditorium on the second floor.
The National Endowment for the Arts Big Read aims to create shared reading experiences to inspire meaningful conversations, celebrate local creativity, elevate a wide variety of voices and perspectives and build stronger connections in each community. This year’s theme for the program is America250 to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday earlier this month.
