Sunrise Mountain set the tone of its first meeting with Centennial this season in its opening four batters, scoring two quick runs without recording a hit.
Junior Grace Deines led off and was hit by a pitch, then junior Emily Patton’s fly ball was dropped leaving Mustangs at second and third with no outs. Junior Sadie Sua followed with a sacrifice fly and senior Sawyer Snodgrass' foul ball past first base and near the dugout turns into sacrifice fly.
From there the Mustangs and sophomore ace Camryn Davis never really let go, leading throughout and closing out a 6-3 win April 13. Sunrise Mountain (9-1) kept manufacturing runs in the first of these teams' two games this week.
