Schedule household hazardous waste pickup in Peoria

The city of Peoria is currently scheduling appointments for the collection of household hazardous waste.

These items will be collected from your home.

Collection begins on Sept. 19 and will conclude on Oct. 7.

Acceptable items for pickup: household chemicals marked dangerous, auto batteries, paint thinners, pesticides/ insecticides, rechargeable batteries and aerosol cans.

The city will accept the following, up to 5 gallons per household: motor oil, gasoline, oil-based paint, antifreeze.

Unacceptable items: ammunition, appliances, electronics, radioactive materials, explosives, medical waste, prescription drugs, commercial waste, latex paint and tires.

There are a limited number of appointments, so please schedule your appointment online at www.peoriaaz.gov/HHW or by calling 623-773-7836.
