Peoria Police find no indication mandatory reporters failed duties in Centennial investigations

Statement comes from Peoria Police via superintendent

There is no indication mandatory reporters failed their duties in the investigations of two Centennial teachers accused of sexual misconduct with a former student, police say.

Peoria Unified School District Superintendent KC Somers shared the Peoria Police Department, in the process of investigating Centennial High School teachers Haley Beck and Angela Burlaka, has found “there is no indication district officials failed to meet their obligations as mandatory reporters under Arizona law.”

The statement was sent out from Somers in a letter to Centennial parents April 27.
