Luke Satkus, of Peoria, is among 34 first-year students selected for the sixth cohort of the Integrity in Business Leadership program in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's College of Business.
Satkus, who is majoring in international business, joins students representing eight states and 13 majors. Through mentoring and hands-on experiences, participants learn to make ethical business decisions while building relationships that support their transition to college.
"The IBL program is designed to create a strong sense of community from the very beginning of a student's college experience," said Rose Hull, who helps coordinate the program as associate director of the Teaching and Learning Center. "Students are surrounded by peers who are motivated to grow, challenge themselves and support one another to widen their perspectives and understanding."
