Peoria Arts presents lineup of free shows in April

Peoria Arts is thrilled to announce its lineup of four exciting and diverse shows taking place at the Peoria Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Peoria, 10580 N. 83rd Dr.

All shows are offered at no cost. Reservations are recommended.

Friday, April 19 at 7 p.m.: Showtune Productions will take audiences on a journey back to the 70s with their show "Take It Easy, Songs of the 70’s." Thursday, April 25 at 7 p.m.: Phoenix Brass Collective will bring epic movie soundtracks to life with their performance of Cinematic Brass. Made up of 18 professional brass and percussion musicians from the Phoenix area, this group has been performing together since 2018 and is dedicated to providing high-quality concerts while also educating the next generation of musicians. Friday, April 26 at 7 p.m.: Que Funny - Latin Comedy Night is a family-friendly show that features the hilarious talents of six local Latin comedians, including host Manic Hispanic and comedians Lola Hernandez, Mandoman, Gabriel Olivarez, Ernesto Ortiz, and Humberto Roman. Audiences can expect an evening filled with laughter, camaraderie, and cultural celebration.

Saturday, April 27 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.: Childsplay will present Eddie & Vinnie. This heartwarming buddy comedy follows the story of Eddie, a boy with dyslexia, and his best friend Vinnie, a wise-cracking gecko. Through their journey together, audiences will learn about empathy and the unique strengths of individuals with dyslexia. Founded in 1977, Childsplay is a nationally and internationally respected professional theater company dedicated to providing thought-provoking and high-quality theater for children.
