Ewing, Rooks to retain seats on Peoria Unified governing board

It appears Peoria Unified School District governing board incumbents Melissa Ewing and Heather Rooks will retain their seats.

Peoria Unified School District governing board incumbents Melissa Ewing and Heather Rooks likely will retain their seats, according to unofficial results.

Ewing has 34.49% with 40,602 votes, Rooks has 33.95% with 39,789 and Desiree’ Byrne has 31.55% with 37,333 votes.

The three candidates were fighting for two seats on the five-person governing board.
