The city of Peoria is proposing to amend its purchase and sale agreement with Opus Development Co., which has plans to build a speculative industrial space on 12.2 acres in the Peoria Innovation Core, near the northeast corner of Amkor Way and 96th Avenue.
Officials say because of growing demand from companies and brokers in advanced manufacturing industries near Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co. and Amkor Technology, the city entered into the agreement with Opus earlier this year.
In March, council approved the agreement for Opus to purchase the land at the fair market value of $15.40 per square foot to build a speculative industrial space of no less than 150,000 square feet.
