City volunteers set to get to work on board, commissions

A number of people are set to get to work as members of various boards and commissions for the City of Peoria, as meetings resume after summer break.

The members of the Peoria Council Boards and Commissions Subcommittee made appointment recommendations to various boards and commissions, March 10, and the city council adopted a resolution appointing those members, May 5. Those members are:     

Robert Panzer, Arts Commission

Keith Dines, Employee Benefits Trust Board

Fawwaz Ali, Youth Advisory Board

Elena Andreyeva, Youth Advisory Board

Larisa Andreyeva, Youth Advisory Board

Natalie Awdisho, Youth Advisory Board

Tyrin Clay, Youth Advisory Board

Arizbeth Fierro, Youth Advisory Board

Claudine Inocencio, Youth Advisory Board

Hunter Kingsley, Youth Advisory Board

Dominique Luna, Youth Advisory Board

Luke Soloman, Youth Advisory Board

Simon Soto, Youth Advisory Board

Dominique Van Winkle, Youth Advisory Board

Peoria residents who wish to take an active role in their community are invited to serve on a board or commission.

Boards and commissions are public bodies that advise the City Council on various matters. Boards and commissions are a great way to foster citizen involvement and input in city government.
