Abrazo honors Peoria nurse as healthcare ‘hero’

Abrazo Scottsdale Campus post-anesthesia care unit nurse Denise Jaronik, a Peoria resident, was recognized for her exemplary service at during a recent “Tenet Hero” ceremony.
Nominated by colleagues, these staff members exemplify the company’s core values and key tenets of its Community Built on Care. Hospital leaders presented Ms. Jaronik with a certificate recognizing her incredible contributions in 2020.
Her nomination noted she exemplifies dedication to the patient and family, leaves no stone unturned to provide the patient with the best care and service, is extremely generous with her time and volunteers with several organizations service veterans and seniors. She also was named the hospital’s Employee of the Year in 2017.
“Denise has inspired us through her actions to make a positive and meaningful difference in our community,” Abrazo Scottsdale Campus CEO Naman Mahajan stated in a news release. “We are grateful for Denise’s efforts, selfless nature and commitment to compassionate care particularly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, and we are proud to work alongside her.”
The honor is part of Abrazo parent company Tenet Healthcare’s annual employee recognition program. The “Heroes” program celebrates individuals who make a meaningful impact within their respective communities that goes above and beyond their daily job responsibilities.
