5-year-old Peoria boy dies after being left in car, parents arrested

The parents of a 5-year-old face negligent homicide charges after their son died when he was left inside a vehicle for more than two hours Sunday afternoon, Peoria police said.

Mihail Sabo and Anca Sabo were arrested and also booked into the Maricopa County jail on child abuse charges, police said.

Peoria authorities received 911 calls about 3:45 p.m. Sept. 13 regarding an unresponsive 5-year-old boy who had been found inside a vehicle at a home in the 6800 block of West Mariposa Grande Lane.
