Paradise Valley Town Manager Andrew Ching shared home security tips in his Sept. 18 weekly update, encouraging residents to take precautions to protect their homes.
The update recommends locking exterior doors and windows, keeping garage doors closed, securing the door between the garage and home and avoiding hiding spare keys outside.
Residents also are encouraged to use exterior lighting, arrange for mail and packages to be collected while traveling and check doors, windows, garages and vehicles before going to bed.
