Phoenix rescue to host Vanity Fur gala at Wrigley Mansion

Almost There Rescue’s Nov. 6 fundraiser will support care and adoption services for puppies and mother dogs

Almost There Rescue will host its annual Vanity Fur fundraising gala at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 6, at Wrigley Mansion in Phoenix. The event is the nonprofit organization’s largest fundraiser of the year, supporting its work caring for pregnant dogs, nursing mothers and puppies rescued from difficult circumstances.

The Phoenix-based rescue provides veterinary care, socialization and training to prepare dogs for adoption. Dogs spend an average of eight weeks in the organization’s care, including participation in its specially designed Puppy Preschool program, before being placed in permanent homes.

The gala will feature an evening at Wrigley Mansion with catering provided by Pizza to the Rescue. Proceeds will support Almost There Rescue’s animal care, education and community programs aimed at addressing Arizona’s homeless dog population.
