Paradise Valley police host community event focused on DUI awareness

The Paradise Valley Police Department hosted its monthly Coffee with a Cop event Nov. 4, focusing on impaired driving and vehicle collision awareness.

The event, held at the PVPD Auditorium, featured representatives from the Arizona Department of Public Safety, who discussed Arizona DUI laws, enforcement efforts and common causes of serious crashes.

Attendees also learned about practical steps to prevent collisions and improve road safety, while having an opportunity to meet local officers, ask questions and discuss traffic concerns, according to the PVPD's Facebook.

The department hosts the monthly gatherings to encourage conversations between residents and police and provide information on issues affecting the community.
