Scottsdale’s only senior dog rescue group has been awarded a hefty grant.
Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary was awarded the grant by the Arizona Community Foundation to further its mission to help overlooked, older dogs live in a caring environment and receive medical care during their older years, according to a press release.
The press release says that FLPS will be able to use the grant money to transfer 16 senior dogs from overcrowded shelters across the state and provide them with veterinary care and recovery time. This care includes a medical and dental exam, tests, microchip, vaccines, spay and neuter and more. The dogs will be taken to a sanctuary or a foster home to be cared for until they are adopted.
