Scottsdale Unified School District’s five-year, $375 million capital improvement bond was passing Wednesday afternoon.
Votes will continue to be counted in the coming days and no results are final until canvassed, but initial results show 48,493 voters (54.45%) support the ask, and 40,568 voters (45.55%) supporting/not supporting the ask.
“I’m happy that there appears to be support for the SUSD bond and I’m optimistic that it will pass,” Scottsdale Unified School District Governing Board Mike Sharkey said, in an email to the Daily Independent. “I appreciate Scottsdale’s willingness to invest in the maintenance of our schools so we can continue to provide the best educational experience possible to our families.”
