Emma Ruth Rundle will bring her fall North American tour to Phoenix on Nov. 29, performing with a full band at Crescent Ballroom.
The tour, which begins in November with Cinder Well supporting all dates, follows the September release of Rundle’s new album, “These Killing Times.”
The album will be released Sept. 18 through Rundle’s own Errant Child imprint and includes the new track “God’s Picture,” which she describes as the record’s centerpiece and thesis statement. Rundle said the song addresses climate disaster, global conflict and class while musically connecting the sparse piano-and-guitar approach of her previous album, “Engine of Hell,” with the fuller arrangements of “These Killing Times.” The album was recorded by longtime collaborator Sonny Diperri, whose credits include work with My Bloody Valentine, Trent Reznor and These New Puritans.
