OPINION — I would like to correct a statement made by the journalist per this quote, "The schools being considered for closure are Copper Ridge School, Cheyenne Traditional School, Laguna Prep, Redfield Elementary School, Desert Canyon Elementary and Desert Canyon Middle School. All the schools under consideration have student bodies of less than 400.”
Cheyenne Traditional School has full enrollment, not declining enrollment. The decision regarding Cheyenne is whether or not to move the school to a new campus to accommodate more students due to a long wait list.
