Chris Karas breaks record with $19.25M Paradise Valley home sale

Luxury Real Estate Agent Chris Karas, co-founder of Launch Real Estate and president of The Karas Group, sold a 28,000 square-foot-home in the Town of Paradise Valley Monday, Nov. 25 for a record $19.25 million.

The home, which is at 5710 N. Yucca Road, was an off-market sale and mark’s the largest residential sale to date in Arizona, according to a press release.

“Discretion and confidentiality are two pillars of the Karas Group. While I will not comment on my client specifically, I will say it is one of the greatest honors of my career to list and sell this home, achieving top dollar for my clients,” Mr. Karas said in a prepared statement.

“To date this is the highest closed real estate transaction, on the MLS, in the history of Arizona. It will always remain an honor and a privilege to successfully represent the luxury community in Arizona.”

The estate is more than 18,000 square feet with five bedrooms in the main house and an additional two bedroom guest house that can either be a part of the home or locked off. Sitting on five acres, the home is framed by Camelback Mountain views.

The master retreat showcases a private exercise studio, sitting room, his and her closets, a salon and an oversize private spa with an outdoor shower. The office features wood craftsmanship.

The house also has formal areas with reclaimed beams. A chef’s kitchen overlooking the comfortable family room and bar with two walls of glass which pocket into the walls to make the outdoor spaces a part of the home.

Representing buyers and sellers in Paradise Valley, Phoenix and Scottsdale, Mr. Karas has been selling real estate for 15 years. This year he has closed more than $100 million in real estate transactions, a release states.

Mr. Karas is a frequent guest speaker on luxury residential real estate and has been part of documentaries regarding real estate investment. He has also had recent speaking engagements with stars of Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing: New York” and Bravo’s “Million Dollar Listing: Los Angeles.”
