Scottsdale Railroad & Mechanical Society Chairman William Scarbrough has provided an update to Paradise Valley Town Council on the capital improvement project at McCormick-Stillman Railroad Park.
Town Council voted to provide $50,000 for the new Roundhouse and Splashpad play structure at the park in May 2023 to help with the budget shortfall. Paradise Valley residents benefit from the railroad park’s amenities since there are none in the town.
General contractors’ contracts have been approved and the project will break ground in April. Construction will then take approximately 12-13 months, according to Scarbrough.
