Summer art camp registration opens in Mesa

The Mesa Arts Center opened registration at noon March 1 for youth and teen summer camps where participants can learn about blacksmithing, ceramics, printmaking and more.

Arts camps will vary weekly through June and July, according to a release.

Funding from the Nancy Wolter Scholarship Fund allows the Mesa Arts Center to offer full scholarships for summer youth camps.

Qualifications include: family meets 200% of the federal poverty guidelines, lives in a HUD housing system, child attends a Title I school or receives free or reduced lunches or is part of the foster care system or in social services.

All materials for the camp are provided.
