Attendees can discover water conservation products and rebate programs, purchase water efficient irrigation products and desert-adapted plants, and learn more about precious water resources at the SRP Water Conservation Expo on March 1.

Up to 70% of household water use is outdoors, which can lead to waste if lawn sprinklers and drip irrigation systems are not properly programmed and maintained, a press release explained. The Expo has distributed more than 11,000 smart controllers over the past 17 years, which translates into an approximate water savings of about 1.7 billion gallons.

Attendees of the expo can:

  • Purchase a smart irrigation controller (limit of one) for $60 plus tax, plus high-efficiency spray heads (limit of 20) for $2 plus tax, and nozzles (limit of 20) for $.50 plus tax.
  • Shop desert-adapted plants at the mini plant sale hosted by Desert Botanical Garden.
  • Discover water conservation products and rebate programs.
  • Attend classes about rainwater harvesting and how to use the latest water-efficient irrigation technology.
  • Learn about water conservation and management from SRP staff and other water professionals (including Water – Use It Wisely with AZ Plant Lady).
  • Get a free Evolve showerhead that helps you waste less hot water or receive an SRP reusable water bottle to stay hydrated (while supplies last).

The expo will be held from 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 1 at the PERATraining and Conference Center in Tempe. Visit srp.net/2025expo to learn more and register.
