Seven people believed to be part of a South American Theft Group involved in two Valley burglaries as well as burglaries in California, Oregon and Washington were arrested May 23 by Scottsdale detectives, who were tipped off by a California police department. Here’s what readers had to say on NextDoor:
“I wonder if one of our very helpful judges will let this group out on ‘good’ behavior like they did the last group last year!!???” — Char C.
“Thank you for posting valuable important information for our community to understand.” — Ryan Bashaw
“DEPORT!” — Laura Weaver
“Unless they’ve been positively identified as belonging to such a group, this post serves no purpose other than to demonize immigrants and influence public sentiment. Other than Native Americans, we’re all descendants of immigrants who most likely were subjected to similar sentiments from those who were already established here.” — Jose Sanchez
