MEMORIAL DAY
Scottsdale, Mesa DUI task force ready for weekend
Posted
INDEPENDENT NEWSMEDIA
Scottsdale and Mesa police are teaming up for a DUI task force that will work on Memorial Day weekend.
The DUI Task Force and Saturation Patrol will be in operation Friday-Monday, May 26-29, according to the Scottsdale Police Department. And Scottsdale officers will work with Mesa on a daytime task force May 28-29.
The task force is a collaboration among the Scottsdale, Mesa, Tempe, Gilbert police departments, the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety and the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
“Task force officers will contact drivers and arrest those who make the disastrous decision to drive impaired, removing them from the roadway before they hurt others or themselves,” authorities said in a release.
