Salt River Tubing open seven days a week starting April 26

Salt River Tubing is open on the Lower Salt River seven days a week from Saturday, April 26, through Monday, Sept. 1, weather and water-flow conditions permitting. It changes to Fridays-Sundays only Sept. 2-28.

Salt River Tubing is seven minutes from Loop 202 East on North Power Road in Mesa. It operates under permit of the USDA Forest Service in Tonto National Forest.

The cost is $28 per person or tube, which includes tube rental, a shuttle bus ride to and from the parking lot, and parking. The cost for a shuttle pass for a customer bringing their own tube is $22.

Salt River Tubing season passes are allowed to be used once per day and last from June until the end of September. The season pass includes: one tube rental with shuttle ride or one bus ride without tube; passes are non-transferable; and additional tubes may be purchased. Important information:

• Last tube rental is 2 p.m.;
• All guests must be 8 and older and 4 feet tall or taller;
• All drinks must be in plastic or cans;
• Children ages 12 and under must wear life jackets; they can be purchased at the snack bar for $15;
• When the water flow is 1,200 cubic feet per second or higher, groups with children can only float the bottom half for the safety of the children; and
• What to bring: Sunscreen, comfortable shoes, plenty of water, cooler/ice chest, drinks, food and snacks. Glassware is prohibited by law.
