The Mesa Public Schools Governing Board approved a contract increase for asphalt and concrete services at their recent meeting.
The vote passed 5-0 on Dec. 11, increasing a $3 million multi-vendor contract by $2 million for a total of $5 million, according to board documents.
“This contract increase request is to provide asphalt, concrete, and related ancillary services in alignment with the District Master Asphalt Plan,” board documents stated. “The additional funding is necessary to support projects associated with the Adjacent Ways levy that was approved by the governing board in the adopted budget, ensuring required infrastructure improvements can be completed in a timely manner.”
The contract was originally approved on March 25, 2025 and is termed for five years.
