Mesa Council to vote on whether to hold public hearing for urban residential development

The Mesa City Council is set to vote on whether to hold a public hearing for a rezoning request for a proposed urban residential development at their upcoming meeting.

The request is to rezone 11 parcels on 60.8 acres to establish a 342-unit single residence development at the northeast corner of East Warner and the South Hawes roads. The meeting begins at 5:45 p.m. on Oct. 20 at 20 E. Main St.

Titled Hawes Village 5, the development would consist of 342 single-family lots of three different sizes, according to council documents. It would also consist of 684 parking garage spaces, 684 spaces in private driveways, 72 on-street parking spaces and 26 designated guest parking spaces for a total of 1,466 total spaces.
