Mesa Arts Center unveils mural by Shepard Fairey in celebration of 20th anniversary

Mesa Arts Center has a new mural by internationally acclaimed artist Shepard Fairey titled “Interdependent Nature” that is to be completed on April 18.

Located on the west side of Mesa Arts Center’s campus at 1 E. Main St., the mural is a vibrant addition to Downtown Mesa, according to a release.

It is the first mural by Fairey in Arizona.

“This mural features imagery and symbols that remind us of the intertwined nature of earth and humanity and the need to cultivate harmony,” Fairey said in the release. “Peace, health and justice require an understanding that we are all connected parts of a whole.”
