Learn how to clean, preserve Roman coins at class

Join a Roman coin prep class at a Mesa business in August and step into the world of ancient Rome.

“This unique experience offers the chance to learn about ancient Roman civilization while uncovering genuine Roman coins that have been buried for centuries. This activity is recommended for adults and children who are 10 and older who are eager to preserve history and these ancient artifacts,” it states in a release.

Each participant will receive four uncleaned Roman coins, discovered throughout the Mediterranean and dating back 1,800 years.

“During the class, you’ll learn how to carefully clean and preserve these historical treasures using the provided tools, materials and expert guidance,” it states. “Since each coin is unique, there will be variations in size, shape and condition.
