Hale Centre Theatre in Gilbert will present the romantic comedy “Beau Jest” from Dec. 31 through Feb. 7.
The play follows a young Jewish woman who hires an actor to pose as her boyfriend to appease her parents after they insist on meeting the man she has been dating. Complications arise when the plan does not go as expected.
Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, with additional shows at 4 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. The production runs about two hours.
Tickets are $60 for adults and $39 for youths ages 5 to 17. Children younger than 5 are not permitted.
