Friends for Life, a registered nonprofit, no-kill shelter in Gilbert, has announced this year’s Presenting Sponsor, Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, as they prepare for the rescue’s popular, annual golf fundraiser, All “fore” the Animals, taking place April 26 at Superstition Springs Golf Club in Mesa.

All proceeds from the event directly benefit the Gilbert rescue, according to a release.

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers, founded in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, is an American fast casual restaurant chain.

Here’s what you need to know:

  • What: Tournament style, four-person scramble
  • Where: Superstition Springs Golf Club, 6542 E. Baseline Road in Mesa.
  • When: Saturday, April 26, with check-in from 6:30 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. Shotgun start will begin promptly at 7:30 a.m.
  • Tickets: Purchase at givebutter.com/F4LGolfTourney5
  • Cost: $300 per pair or $550 per foursome
  • Cost includes: 18-holes of golf with cart; awards lunch with prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place; raffle; range balls and scoring with Golf Genius. Cost also includes a Classic Cantina & Taco Bar Awards Luncheon featuring carne asada and pollo asada, refried beans and Spanish rice, fresh tortilla chips and salsa with a variety of toppings and assorted churros.
  • Additional costs: Contests will include closest to the pin, women’s/men’s longest drive and guess your drive. Cost is $10/contest or $20 for all three. “The Shoot Out” Hole-in-One winner will receive $10,000, with a $20 buy in. A Super Pass for $25 includes three mulligans and one entry into closest to the pin, men/women’s longest drive and guess your drive contests.
  • Extras: Mulligans – one for $5 or three for $10. Best dressed foursome prize. 50/50 drawing - $10 per ticket or $100 for 11. Raffle prizes.
