Get answers on trees, get planting in Mesa

The city of Mesa is hosting tree workshops in February and March on the first Friday of the month.

“Join us to learn where to find trees for your home, chat with an arborist, participate in a tree activity, and learn about the Park Ranger Program. This is a free event and registration is not required,” a release states.

The 8-9:30 a.m. Feb. 7 workshop is to be at Heritage Park, 1501 S. Pima.

The 8 a.m.-noon March 7 workshop is to be at Superstition Springs Center outside the food court, 6555 E. Southern Ave.

This program supports Mesa’s Climate Action Plan, a mayor and council priority initiative to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, build resilience in our community, and address the negative outcomes of a changing climate, the release states.
