East Mesa resident Karen M. Rosner, owner of Personal Financial Coaching Services, will discuss how individuals can take control of their finances and get out of debt at a meeting of the Community of Women business referral group.

The meeting will 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 11, at Mimi’s Cafe, 2800 W. Chandler Blvd. in Chandler.

The talk is free to members and $20 for guests. Guests are encouraged to sign up early at www.communityofwomen.org.

Rosner’s approach is unique. She is not a financial advisor. She is a licensed social worker and also a certified financial coach. She empowers women and men 40 and over to take control of their finances and get out of debt. She focuses on helping clients get a better picture of their situation and then asks them what are their financial dreams and goals, according to a release.

She speaks from experience. Rosner started her financial coaching business in 2019 after divorcing her husband and was left with $50,000 in debt. With an annual income of $30,000, she developed a program which helped her get out of debt in 20 months. She has helped hundreds of people to get out of debt in less than 23 months.

“I’m very impressed with not only Karen’s system and her personal experience, but how she holds her clients accountable,” Lena Morrissey, president of Community of Women, said in the release. “She is fond of saying that you can lie to yourself, but not to her. And as most of us know, the first step to recovering from anything negative is acknowledging the problem.”

Rosner is a licensed social worker for more than 30 years and currently works for Banner as a transplant social worker.

Karen enjoys helping her clients get out of debt and seeing them enjoy life after they are debt free. More information is available at https://youredebtfreequickly.com

Rosner is also a transplant survivor. Her book, “My 12 Hours Aren’t Up Yet” is available on Amazon and Barnes & Noble. All profits from the book go toward Rosner’s nonprofit organization, New Lease On Life Foundation, which helps transplant patients.

Community of Women LLC welcomes women of all ages and provides them with a community that embraces them personally, professionally and in business. The forward-thinking environment focuses on personal growth education, building friendships, sharing ideas, community involvement and expanding the member’s business connections, the release states.
