Cider Corps closing Gilbert location

Posted

Cider Corps, the veteran-owned and family-operated craft cider company, announced on social media Dec. 22 that it is closing its taproom 685 S. Gilbert Road, Gilbert, at year’s end.

The location had just opened July 29 after two years of preparation on the site.

The announcement indicated that the landlord had died and the building sold. The owners are moving the production facility to Mesa, where the business still has its original location.

“This is truly a devastating setback for us,” the post read. “But we stand by our beliefs that ‘Out of Bad Comes Good.’ We return to our homebase in downtown Mesa with a chance to expand and prevail.”

The business has launched an in-house crowdfunding campaign that will help cover moving costs and make improvements for the Mesa production space. The owners said contributions come with benefits like commemorative T-shirts, glasses and Honor Tiles. Additionally, a high-level membership comes with a lifetime discount and homecoming party.
