Brookdale East Arbor in Mesa recently celebrated its new designation as a “Heart Health Specialized Assisted Living Community.”
The senior living community, 6060 E. Arbor Ave., on Aug. 5 celebrated its new designation with a ribbon cutting, open house, and a fundraiser for the American Heart Association.
As a community focused on heart health, Brookdale East Arbor provides its front-line team with additional training on heart-related conditions and warning signs. Residents with heart conditions are also provided with a handbook on their specific conditions, according to a release.
Mesa Councilmember Dorean Taylor spoke at the event. Other participants at the event included Bear Canvas Pop-Up Market, American Heart Association, Southwest Cardiology, Dow Realty, Revanti Movers, Grand Canyon University, Oasis Senior Advisors and Banner Cardiovascular Group.
