Nonprofit senior living community Fellowship Square Historic Mesa, operated by Christian Care, reports improvements in resident safety after implementing Helpany’s AI-powered fall prevention technology.
Helpany’s radar-based artificial intelligence solution, powered by its device Paul, continuously monitors motion patterns, detects early changes in condition and informs caregivers of increased risks — without cameras or microphones, it states in a release.
In the months of March, April and May 2025, the community recorded an 80% reduction in fall-related 911 calls, a 57% decline in overall injuries and a 63% decrease in falls. The system also helped caregivers improve response times by 108% and nearly double the time spent with high-risk residents — all without adding staff, according to a release.
Not available were the total number of fall-related 911 calls, the number reduced in the three-month period and the total injuries.
The detailed figures are not available as they are based on individual customer data, a public relations official said in response to questions.
“At Fellowship Square Historic Mesa, resident safety and well-being come first,” Rena Phillips, Fellowship Square Historic Mesa vice president of operations, said in the release. “Helpany’s AI-powered fall prevention system has transformed our approach to care. Families feel more at ease and our team can focus on meaningful, proactive support.”
A reduction in 911 calls represents a shift toward safer, more dignified and proactive care. Each avoided call means fewer stressful hospital visits for residents, less disruption for caregivers and reduced strain on local emergency services, it states in the release.
“Fellowship Square Historic Mesa is setting a new benchmark for what’s possible in senior living,” Sandro Cilurzo, co-founder and CEO of Helpany, said in the release. “Their results show how AI can help reduce emergencies, improve outcomes, and allow caregivers to focus on what matters most—people.”
Fellowship Square Historic Mesa is at 35 W. Brown Road in Mesa.
