Adam Strock appointed principal of Canyon Valley School

Posted

Adam Strock was officially appointed April 8 as the new principal of Canyon Valley School for the 2025–26 academic year.

Canyon Valley serves as an alternative school within Gilbert Public Schools.  Strock is the dean of students at Gilbert High School.

The board unanimously approved the appointment. The decision was met with enthusiasm and support from the board.

“I came way very impressed and frankly to be a better board member and a better father, and I think he's going to be wonderful,” Board Clerk Blake Robison said.

Board President Chad Thompson echoed those remarks, expressing optimism for a “productive and successful year at Canyon Valley under your leadership.”

Strock took time to thank the board and his family.

“I look forward to the new adventure and the new chapter at Canyon Valley, and I look forward to sharing with you the successes of the students and the families there,” he said.

“As you know, education is not just a job, it's a life. And I'm thankful they're (his family) along for the ride of that life.”
