A new Rally's fast food restaurant is planned for Peoria

Posted

A new Rally's drive thru restaurant is planned for Peoria and 75th avenues.

The Peoria Planning and Zonning Commission recently approved a conditional use permit to allow for the new drive thru on the 0.66 acre vacant lot near the Santana Village Apartments and Planet Fitness.

The 1,220 square-foot single-story building will include a walk-up window and small outdoor dining area.

The main drive-through will start as two lanes, each with its own menu board that will merge into a single lane before approaching the pick-up window, according to a staff report.

A second pick-up window, intended solely for phone and internet pre-orders, will be located along the east side of the building, the report said.

Hours of operation will be 9 a.m.-1 a.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 9 a.m.-3 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

Because the site is within an intermediate commercial zoning district, or C-2, and is within 200 feet of a residentially zoned district, it requires a conditional use permit.
