Why I’m voting Coniam over Densmore for DUSD board

El Mirage reader wants candidate to stick to local issues but won't support incumbent

Posted

OPINION — I agree with Bob Doyle that Bill Coniam’s national political views are unwanted. He is running for a local office and should stick to the issues confronting the Dysart Unified School District.

I will still support Bill, but he needs to focus on the school district and not worry about state and national issues as others will and give the local candidates the opportunity to get the district in the right path.

I would never support Dawn Densmore again as she had the opportunity to do some real good but did not. She approved the $500,000 Las Vegas vacation with tax dollars.

She did nothing to make herself stand out in her years on the board. Still poor retention of employees, bad planning for buses and buildings, and the list goes on.

I hope El Mirage voters remember the continuing lack of attention of our school issues and not vote for Densmore.
