Goodyear residents now have additional options for Mexican cuisine after the grand opening of Cantina Gueros–the chain's second Valley location from Westside Concepts.
The restaurant, which boasts “authentic Mexican cuisine” with a modern twist, opened May 25 at 15375 W. McDowell Road in the former Native Grill and Wings.
Westside Concepts, which is also behind Haymaker and NW Coffee, opened its first Cantina Guero in Peoria back in late 2020.
But "don't call it Tex Mex," its website proudly declares: "we're more of a Mexico City vibe."
The menu features a mix of Mexican cuisines, from barbacoa and various street tacos to pozole and ceviche.
Cantina Gueros’ Goodyear location will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays until it is able to hire more staff, according to the website.
Its current hours are 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Click here to view the menu.
