Goodyear launches new digital services

Posted

Starting April 20, Goodyear residents and businesses can work with the city electronically in a new way, the city announced in a press release.

All applications and submittals to Development Services and Engineering can now be sent, reviewed and approved through an online system. This new digital process provides a convenient, streamlined way to submit various types of requests, whether it’s to rezone a property or to add a patio cover, the release stated.

“The city has diligently worked to create and implement an electronic review process for the last several years,” Director of Development Services Christopher Baker stated in the release. “We’re fortunate that this new system is live now with all the prework, training and workflows created. This will really help our customers during the COVID-19 pandemic.”

In addition to providing a way for customers to track their applications, the new process saves time and money on paper and printing costs. Customers no longer have to drive to submit paper plans and return to pick-up reviewed plans, the release stated.

To send an electronic building safety application or a submittal for Planning & Zoning or Civil Engineering, visit goodyearaz.gov/development.
