Litchfield Elementary School District has an immediate need for substitute teachers.
A Guest Teacher Job Fair for those interested in learning more is planned 9-11 a.m. Monday, March 28 in the district’s Support Service building, 18921 W. Thomas Road, Bldg. A, Litchfield Park. Officials will be on hand answer attendees’ questions and help them get started with application process.
Substitute teachers earn $100-$145 per day depending on the length of their assignment. Schedules are flexible and allow the teacher to choose the grades, subjects and schools that work best for them.
Prior teaching experience is not required, but candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in any subject, as well as a Fingerprint Clearance Card and an Arizona Department of Education Substitute Teaching Certificate. They also much have proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of immunization.
For more information on becoming an LESD substitute teacher, visit lesd.k12.az.us/Content2/1540. Those wishing to apply for a position immediately will find a link to Educational Services Inc., the district’s hiring partner, where they can submit an application.
