Invitational golf tournament comes to Litchfield Park

The West Valley Mavericks Foundation will host the annual Patriot All-America Invitational golf tournament Dec. 28-31 at the Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park.

The event features top amateur golfers, including Ping All-American collegiate players, competing for the title of Patriot All-America Champion. Unique to the tournament, each golfer carries a bag embroidered with the name of a fallen military or first responder hero.

After the event, the bags are presented to the golfers' colleges and auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting the Folds of Honor Foundation, which provides scholarships to the families of fallen and disabled service members. The tournament begins on Dec. 28 with the opening ceremony and Am/Am tournament. General admission is free for all rounds of the event.

The Patriot Unplugged concert, featuring Nashville recording artist Aaron Nichols and fiddle player Melissa Barrison, will take place from 5-10 p.m. on Dec. 30.

For an enhanced experience, the Salute to Service Tent, sponsored by Buckeye Equestrian Center and the Arizona Diamondbacks, will offer VIP ticket holders complimentary food, an open bar, and premium viewing areas. Active-duty military personnel and veterans can access the tent free of charge.

Additionally, the Veteran’s Village, sponsored by USAA, will provide veterans and their families with resources in areas such as mental health, education, and employment.

Proceeds from ticket sales, beverages, and merchandise will support the West Valley Mavericks Foundation and local charities.

The annual Patriot All-America Invitational will take place at Wigwam Golf Club, 451 N. Old Litchfield Road, Litchfield Park.
