Water bills may go up for some Glendale residents

City nearing start of water meter upgrades

Glendale plans to replace all of its residential and commercial customers’ water meters with advanced metering infrastructure, and a pilot program for the ultrasonic meters is on track to begin later this year.

Three related contracts will be there for the Glendale City Council to vote on during its March 24 meeting.

For homes and businesses with older meters that do not accurately track all of the water used, bills are likely to increase between 3 and 6%.
