Verlo Mattress of Glendale, a source for American-made, locally crafted made-to-order mattresses in the Valley, announced Dec. 17 the results of its month-long donation program, ‘Mattresses for Meals’, and pledged a $1,600 donation to St. Mary’s Food Bank of Arizona.
This contribution will help provide approximately 8,000 meals for the Valley.
Throughout November, Verlo Mattress of Glendale at 5729 W. Bell Road pledged $50 to St. Mary’s Food Bank for every mattress purchased. Thanks to local customers, the campaign achieved its goal of making an impact on the community having sold a total of 32 mattresses for the cause.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this possible,” stated Jonathan Scholz, Owner of Verlo Mattress of Glendale, in a press release. “Together, we’ve taken a small step toward addressing food insecurity in our area and helping families during this holiday season.”
The ‘Mattresses for Meals’ campaign also gave customers $50 off their mattress purchase.
St. Mary’s Food Bank of Arizona works to provide food boxes to those in need across Phoenix and nine other counties, and this donation will directly support their mission of ending hunger.
Verlo Mattress of Glendale is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
