Texas Roadhouse, Glendale Police help Special Olympics

On Friday, Sept. 26 Glendale’s Texas Roadhouse will team up with local police to raise money for Special Olympics Arizona.

Police officers will help serve guests at the “Tip-A-Cop” event and collect donations. Money will be collected from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday, at the restaurant, 6648 N. 95th Ave., Glendale.

After last year’s inaugural event raised $1,400, the restaurant set a new goal to raise $2,500 this year. The Glendale Police Department motor squad will be in front of the restaurant with their bikes for meet and greets and free coloring books.

Special Olympics is a global movement of people creating a new world of inclusion and community, where every single person is accepted and welcomed, regardless of ability or disability.

The nonprofit is helping to make the world a better, healthier, and more joyful place—one athlete, one volunteer, and one family member at a time. For information, visit the Special Olympics site.
