Suspect sought after non-life threatening shooting outside Glendale concert

Posted

A suspect remains at large after a shooting wounded a victim outside of a concert in Glendale Tuesday night.

Just before 11 p.m. Glendale police officers were working the Rod Wave concert at Desert Diamond Arena when there was a report of shots fired. Although many people exited the arena, Glendale police note that officers working the event confirmed there were no shots fired inside the arena.

Officers responded to a report of a fight outside of the arena in the Westgate Entertainment District, and located a 33-year-old male victim with a gunshot wound. The wound was non-life-threatening, and the victim was transported to a local hospital, police say.

Officers were informed the victim had left the concert and was on the east side of the entertainment district. According to reports the victim bumped into another person and an argument ensued. A male suspect who was involved in the argument apparently left the area and returned shortly after and allegedly shot the victim.

Police say the suspect is currently outstanding.
