In a showcase of entrepreneurial spirit, a “Shark Tank”-style event brought together an array of high school students in an exchange of ideas and presentations.
From groundbreaking tech startups to revolutionary consumer products, the event invited contestants to pitch their ventures to a panel of judges. Four students from Mountain Ridge High School in Glendale swept the top three spots.
James Daga took first place and a $500 scholarship, followed by the team of Hasini and Shravya Devi in second place and a $300 scholarship, and Mir-Aedrees Sekandari placing third and winning a $200 scholarship.
Scott Bohall from Treasures Custom Jewelers in Glendale served as a judge.
“[The] Shark Tank event underscored the power of collaboration and innovation in our high school students,” he stated. “We are proud to have provided a platform for budding entrepreneurs to shine.”
