Now Open

Ally Pediatric Therapy recently opened a branch in Glendale at 5701 W. Talavi Blvd. The practice provides support and treatments for autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental disorders in children. Services include applied behavior analysis, speech-language therapy, and feeding therapy to address symptoms common in autistic children. Therapy services for autistic children and other types of neurodevelopmental disorders aim to address the following challenging behaviors, difficulties with school and social skills, communication and general life skills.

A new location of Toy Plaza recently opened on the lower level across from AMC Theatres. The mall is at 7700 W Arrowhead Towne Center.

Lakay Caribbean Market recently played host to its grand opening on March 22 at 5008 W. Northern Ave., Suite 5.

New Name

The former Trinity Chiropractic led a re-branding ceremony for its sixth anniversary on March 8. The business is now Trinity Advanced Health and is at 18275 N. 59th Ave., Suite M-178.

Richard Smith has been with Independent Newsmedia since 2016, and worked at a Sun City-based news outfit covering the Northwest Valley for 22 consecutive years.

An NAU alum and lifelong Arizona resident, Richard began as a copy editor and page designer at Surprise Today and the Daily News-Sun, then rekindled his love of sports writing by taking the reins on West Valley Preps in 2008.

For most of the mid-2010s he was the Surprise editor and West Valley Preps reporter. Now he’s the West Valley Preps Editor and Surprise Associate Editor.

As COVID restrictions slowly lift, Richard is cautiously optimistic he will visit book stores, football fields and gyms again this fall.
