The Peoria Unified School District will begin the 2026-27 school year with new administrative appointments, including a new principal at Ironwood High School in Glendale.
Melanie Hagman comes to Ironwood and PUSD with more than a decade of school leadership experience. Hagman was the founding principal of Castaic High School in California where she established school-wide expectations and systems.
She previously served as an instructional services supervisor at Rio Salado College. Prior to moving to Arizona, she served as a principal and assistant principal for schools in California.
